Monday, September 17th 2007

I started out with a bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats - the maple and brown sugar type. With 2% milk of course! Here are the stats according to the label:

Calories = 230
Calories from fat = 10

Total fat = 1g
Cholestorol = 0mg

Not a bad start to the day.

Since then, I've had a 100 calorie packs granola bar - here are it's stats:

Calories = 100
Calories from fat = 15
Total fat = 1.5g
Cholestorol = 0mg

Now for lunch.
Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Grilled Basil Chicken

Calories = 290
Calories from fat = 60
Total fat = 6g
Cholestorol = 25mg

If I total that up for today, I have eaten:

Calories = 620
Calories from fat = 85
Total fat = 8.5g
Cholestorol = 25mg

Not bad - it's 1:15pm, and I am still hungry, and my stomach is a little upset - hopefully that will die down soon!

I will try and spend some time on the treadmill today, and will post again tonight after dinner!!

Here we go

I'm not a glutton.
Let's just get that clear to start off with.
I'm not the person who indulges in midnight snacks, as well as wolfing down pizzas for breakfast.

I am obese though. I also have to do something about it.

My biggest flaw when it comes to food is not just my love for it. It's my defense mechanism. I don't drink anymore - but if I feel bad about something, I tend to eat. It comforts me!

So if you saw me today, you would understand that I have been sad for a while now :o)

Here's where I stand now.

My waist - around 50" (at least)
Shirts - 4XL
Weight - 320 lbs (at least)

I've been dabbling with dieting, and have tried a lot of different things - but I truly lack the willpower - until now that is.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life - no more fried, fatty foods (goodbye Bojangles!).
I will use this blog to document what I have done, and the effect that it has had on me.

Not only with this motivate me to keep at it, but hopefully it will prove useful to others like me out there. Let's see.
